Volunteer Opportunities

The Volunteer Services Program's mission is to assist GOOD DAY ADHC by maintaining competent trained volunteers who will provide an extra dimension of supportive services for the participant.

GOOD DAY ADHC’s volunteers are people who give the gift of themselves and their time to do something for a cause in which they believe; people, who by their actions, are ready to help where help is needed; and people who are ready to serve where service is wanted.

The volunteer program is designed to give you an exposure to senior needs in a health care or supportive living environment. You will be placed in a specific department chosen to complement your particular area of interest and accommodate your personal time schedule. Many volunteers serve as the only link some of our seniors have to the community. Volunteering contributes significantly to the quality of care our participants receive.

Here are some of the ways you can help.

• Telephone reassurance caller
• Read to participants
• Visit participants
• Play musical instruments
• Share hobbies
• Assist with outings
• Help with special events
• Assist with outdoor wheelchair walks
• Write notes and greeting cards to participants
